Artist's Comments

There's so many great tutorials around Deviantart, I wanted to make one of my own. But I still only know a fraction of what there is to know about Photoshop. If there's one thing I'm qualified to make a tutorial about, though, it'd be drawing Powerpuffs. I realize this doesn't teach you how to draw the PPG in any pose, but I figure the pointers I provide are a good place to start.

I made a second tutorial, getting into slightly more detail. You can find it here.

Heh, I have templates I use for the heads and eyes and I can mostly guess the position of the body parts and such, which in most cases turn out well enough.

Still, this is useful for those starting with the Puff style. :)

Lucky! I gotta get a template. =P

I was gonna put a "PPG tutorial" ... heh I still might, once I get a fancy-shmancy art program!

I use styrofoam coffee cups or plasitic "Big Gulp" cups that I've 'warm molded' into shape over time. I'll share this in my "Drawing Puffs" tutorial.

I don't do anything at all specific, I just draw the head, then add the hair, then the eyes, mouth, body. =P I never use "skeletons" or guidelines. Everyone has their own way of drawing a puff. :D

When I'm just doodling, I don't use any guidelines either. I certainly don't expect everyone to draw them one way. =P
